There is a specific kind of man who appears in British gardens between May and September. He owns tongs he calls "the tools". He believes smoke drifting into the neighbours' garden is a form of diplomacy. He has opinions about charcoal.

Black or white?
For barbecue duty specifically: black. It hides sauce, char and the evidence of the sausage incident. White is the better canvas for colour prints and photo designs and suits the kitchen baker — but the grill is a battlefield, and black is armour. White text on a black apron is also the single most legible combination from across a garden.

Will the print survive smoke, fat and washing?
Yes — the design is heat-pressed into the fabric rather than stuck on top, so it will not peel or crack with normal washing. Wash inside-out at 30°C and it will outlast the tongs.
Is one size really one size?
Our aprons are cut generously (roughly 68×84 cm) with an adjustable neck strap and long waist ties, so they fit the wiry and the well-fed alike.
How far ahead should I order for Father's Day or a birthday?
