Head Chef is the classic wording when the apron is going to someone who genuinely runs the kitchen. The photograph shows the red apron printed CHEF EMILY in bold black capitals with a white outline, on a single line, with a chef’s hat printed above. That is one arrangement; you are not limited to it. Head Chef on its own, Head Chef and a surname, Head Chef of This House, or a first name with Head Chef underneath all print the same way at no extra cost. Six font styles are available and you choose the text colour, so the same wording can read traditional in a serif on white or modern in a block face on black.
Red is the colour shown here and it suits this wording well: it reads as a working kitchen rather than a novelty, and a bold dark print with a light outline stays crisp on it. Black is the alternative if the apron is going somewhere that gets messy. White gives the most contrast if you want the wording to be the first thing people see.

Personalisation

Simple, bold designs work best. Very fine lines, tiny text, gradients and low-resolution images may not reproduce clearly on fabric. Printing is done by sublimation, so the design is bonded into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it and will not peel or crack in the wash.

Care Instructions
Machine wash at a normal or low temperature and dry quickly. Do not bleach, do not dry clean and do not tumble dry. Avoid ironing directly over the personalised area; if ironing is needed, iron on the reverse side only.
Delivery & returns
Each apron is personalised to order in Cheshire and usually dispatched within 1–3 working days, with free UK delivery on every order and no minimum spend. There is no minimum order and no setup fee: a single apron with one name on it is printed exactly the same way as a run of twelve, so a one-off costs you nothing extra. Personalised aprons cannot be returned for a change of mind, but if one arrives faulty or is not what you ordered we will put it right within 14 days.
Good to know
- Only the apron is included. Props and styling items in the photos are there to show scale and ideas.
- Colours can look slightly different on screen depending on your monitor or phone.
- Each one is made to order, so small variations in print placement are possible. Measurements are approximate (±3 mm).

Non-personalised returns
For non-personalised items, you can request a return within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We’ll review it and help with a suitable solution as quickly as possible.
- Can I change “Head Chef” to different wording?
- Yes. Whatever you type is what gets printed. Sous Chef, Head Baker, Head Chef of This House, a job title, a surname or a first name on its own all print the same way at the same price.
- Can I have Head Chef and a name together?
- Yes, and it is the most common arrangement. Put the title on one line and the name on the next. Two short lines sit comfortably on the bib; three starts to crowd it.
- Which colour works best for a Head Chef apron?
- Red is shown here and suits this wording well — a bold dark print with a light outline stays crisp on it. Black hides everyday cooking marks best. White gives the highest contrast for a longer line of text.
- What size is the apron?
