A personalised iced coffee glass has one design surface and it is small: a flat-ish square face about 6 cm wide. That single fact decides everything about what to write on it. Short wording prints large and reads across a kitchen; a full sentence shrinks until it is decoration rather than a message. The glass itself, in plain terms
Our personalised iced coffee glass is a square borosilicate tumbler, 13 oz (about 370 ml), roughly 13.5 cm tall and 6 cm wide, with a lid and a reusable glass straw.
Borosilicate is the glass used in laboratory beakers and oven-safe cookware. Compared with the ordinary soda-lime glass most tumblers are made from, it expands far less when the temperature changes, so a glass that has been sitting in the fridge takes ice and cold brew without the thermal shock that cracks cheap glass. It is also thinner for its strength, which is why the walls feel lighter than they look. It is still glass: drop it on a tiled floor and it will break. It is not unbreakable; it is predictable.
Two honest limits. It is hand-wash only, because the printed design sits on the outside of the glass and dishwasher detergent and heat will dull it over time. And it is for cold drinks: iced coffee, iced matcha, smoothies, squash, water. Do not pour boiling coffee into it or put it in the microwave.
What prints well on glass, and what does not
Glass is unforgiving of fine detail. A single-colour design with clean edges looks crisp; thin script flourishes, hairline outlines, gradients and photographs lose definition and look smudged. In practice:
- One to three words print large and stay legible. A first name on its own is the boldest option.
- Script fonts work when the wording is short and the letters are not too thin. Caveat-style script (our Script option) is designed for exactly this.
- Block and Mono read most clearly from a distance and suit initials, job titles and dry humour.
- Logos and icons should be a single colour with strong outlines. If you are ordering for a café or a team, send the flat version of the logo, not the one with a gradient.
- Avoid photos, watercolour effects, very small text and anything with fine hatching.

Ordering a set
There is no minimum, no maximum and no set-up fee. Set the quantity and list one name per line in the personalisation box; each glass is printed with its own name and packed together. For a hen weekend or a team, that means twelve glasses with twelve names in one order. Keeping the print looking new
Hand wash in warm water with a soft cloth. Do not soak, do not scrub across the printed face, and keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave. Treated that way the print outlasts the drink habit.
