Funny Beer T-Shirts: Sizing, Fabric and Who Actually Wears Them

Beer Logic funny graphic t-shirt

A funny t-shirt is a gift that either gets worn to the pub every Friday or lives at the bottom of a drawer, and the difference is rarely the joke. It is the fit and the fabric. We make two beer tees, and this is the honest guide to which is which, how to get the size right for someone else, and what the shirt is actually like.

Beer O'Clock

The Beer O'Clock t-shirt is the gentler of the two: a graphic tee for the pub, a summer garden party, a birthday barbecue or a Sunday at home. It is the one for a dad, a husband, a brother or a mate who likes a pint and would not describe himself as a beer person.

Beer Logic

The Beer Logic t-shirt is for the person who has opinions about craft ale, goes to beer festivals and appreciates a bit of British wit on a shirt. It is worn to the pub, the festival, the stag weekend and the bar crawl, and it is the more-photographed of the two.

Fit and fabric

Both are soft cotton with a classic unisex fit: not fitted, not boxy, easy with jeans, shorts or a jacket. The graphic is printed and positioned centrally on the chest, then checked in Cheshire so it sits straight. See the garment label for the full composition.

Sizing a gift tee

Do not guess from a high-street size. Take a t-shirt the person wears and likes, lay it flat, measure across the chest (armpit to armpit) and the length (shoulder seam to hem), and match it to the size guide in the product images. Between sizes, go up: a relaxed graphic tee that is slightly big is worn; one that is slightly tight is not. Choose the colour from the options on the page; a light print on a dark base is the one most people pick.

Washing

Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours; tumble dry low where suitable or hang dry; do not bleach; do not iron directly over the print. Treated like that the graphic outlasts the joke.

When to give it

Father's Day, a birthday, Christmas, Secret Santa (it is under £15), a stag do, a beer festival ticket in the pocket. Because it is not personalised it can be ordered up to the last week. For the person who would rather have his name on something, the personalised apron with "Chief taster" or the car coaster are the named versions of the same gift; more in gifts for him and the BBQ dad gift guide.

Everything is checked and packed in Cheshire, usually dispatched within one to three working days, with free UK delivery.
