Wedding Welcome and Table Signs on Acrylic: Wording, QR Codes, Sizes

Personalised arched acrylic sign with a QR code on a wooden base

Wedding signage goes wrong in two ways: too many signs, and signs that need an easel nobody brought. The personalised arched acrylic sign solves the second: a clear arched panel in a solid wooden base that stands on its own on a welcome table, a bar, a cake table or a guest-book table, with no frame or fixings. This guide solves the first: which signs a wedding actually needs, and what each should say.

The five signs that earn their place

  1. Welcome. Names, date, one line. "Welcome to the wedding of Emma & Tom · 14 June 2026".
  2. Photos. A QR code that opens a shared album, with one instruction: "Scan to share your photos". This is the sign guests use most.
  3. Bar. "Cheers · Please help yourselves", or the two signature drinks, or the WiFi if the venue's is any good.
  4. Guest book. "Leave us a note" or "Sign our book", small, on the table with the pens.
  5. Cake or dessert. "Cake · cut at 8" or the flavours. Optional, but the one that gets photographed.

Table numbers on acrylic look lovely and are the sign most often abandoned for budget; if you do them, one style, numbers only, the same font as the welcome sign.

What a QR code should do

One thing. The album, the WiFi, the order of the day, or the gift list; not a menu of four. Put the couple's names or a short line above and a single instruction below ("Scan to share your photos"). Send the link, or the QR image if you have one already, and it is printed at a size a phone reads from across a table. Test it once before the day with a phone that is not yours.

Wording that fits an arched panel

The arch is tall rather than wide, so short lines stacked read best: names on one line, date on the next, instruction on the third. Script for the names, Serif or Block for the date and instruction, one or two colours. A paragraph on a sign is not read. The font guide shows the six styles on a small surface.

  • Welcome to our wedding
  • Emma & Tom · 14.06.26
  • Scan to share your photos
  • Please sign our book
  • Cheers, help yourselves
  • Cards and gifts here, with thanks
  • Choose a seat, not a side
  • Unplugged ceremony, phones down please
  • The Ahmeds, est. today
  • Tonight's drinks: (two names)

Sizes and a matching set

The sign is a small, tidy counter size that reads from a metre or two, which is right for a table; it is not a large easel board for the entrance of a marquee. For a set, order each sign separately with its own wording and the same font and colour; there is no minimum and no set-up fee. Two of the welcome design (one for the entrance, one for the bar) is a common order.

After the wedding

The welcome sign with the names and date goes on a shelf at home; the photo QR sign goes to the next party with a new album. The same sign is what cafés use for WiFi and reviews, which is why the café WiFi sign guide reads well for a wedding too.

Everything is made to order in Cheshire, usually dispatched within one to three working days, with free UK delivery; order three weeks before the wedding so there is time to test the QR code. Because the sign carries the wording you type, it cannot be returned for a spelling change. More for the table is in wedding favours you can personalise.

Frequently asked questions

Does the acrylic wedding sign need an easel?
No. The arched panel sits in a solid wooden base and stands on its own on any table, with no frame or fixings.

What should a wedding QR code sign say?
The couple's names or a short line above, the QR code, and one instruction below such as 'Scan to share your photos'. One job per code; test it before the day.

How many signs does a wedding need?
Five at most: welcome, photos, bar, guest book and cake. Order each with its own wording in the same font and colour; there is no minimum.
